Paul Edward Scarbrough, age 83 of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
Paul was born November 16, 1941, in Logan Co., KY to the late Edgar Scarbrough and the late Erma Louise Perdue Scarbrough. He is also preceded in death by his wife of forty-seven years, Linda Brown Scarbrough.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Sleeman (Andy); granddaughter, Sammantha Ballou (Will); grandson, Troy Sleeman; one great grand-daughter and several nieces and nephews.
Paul served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1966. He retired in 2005 from Holley Performance as a Quality Assurance Supervisor after forty-two years.
He was an active member and deacon of Forest Park Baptist Church and was present in church services as long as his health allowed. When he could no longer attend, he faithfully listened online and often left encouraging comments about the Sunday School lesson or worship service.
The family has entrusted J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel with arrangements.
Funeral services for Paul Scarbrough are scheduled to be conducted on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 12:00 noon with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery #2 with military honors.
Visitation will begin Sunday April 13, 2025, at 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Monday at 10:00am until service time at noon.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made to American Legion Post #23.
