One “minor injury” was reported after a black SUV hit the side of Shoney’s in Glasgow, according to Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt.

The vehicle was pulling into a parking spot on the left side of Shoney’s when the woman driving the vehicle “hit the gas instead of the brakes,” Flatt said. The woman, whose name Flatt has not released at the time of publication, was transported to T.J. Samson Hospital for “minor injuries.”

Located off Calvary Drive, General Manager Brian Greever said the restaurant would be closed the rest of today, April 10.

“We’re looking to only be closed today,” Greever said. “We’re trying right now to get some contractors up here to board this up. For security reasons. I can’t have a gaping hole [here] while I serve food.”

Greever said there were customers inside at the time, including one right by the window, but that no one was hurt.
