The Glasgow Scotties closed their tour of Florida with an 8-3 loss to Somerset.

The Scotties fell behind 4-0 before getting on the board in the bottom of the third with two outs.

Josiah Driver reached base with a single. He stole second, then moved to third on a ground out by Steven Garrett. Evan Templin drove in Driver with a single.

The Briar Jumpers pushed their lead to 6-1 with a home run in the top of the fourth.

The lead was 8-1 when Glasgow tried to rally in the bottom of the seventh. Bam Nolley reached base with a single. Thomas Glass followed with a single that moved Nolley to third. Nolley later scored on a ground out by Carter Hodges. Then, with two outs, Garrett drove in Glass with a single, but that was as close as the Scotties could get.

Templin led at the plate with three hits, while Driver, Garrett, Nolley, Glass, Hudson Gumm, Garett Shields, and Landon Martin each had a hit in the game for Glasgow.

Austin Parker, Hodges, Rashad Etheridge and Nolley each saw time on the mound. They combined to give up 13 hits and strike out four Briar Jumpers.
