Sue Campbell passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Born on February 27, 1929 to the late Freeling and Irene Johnson, Sue was one of five siblings raised in the Russellville, KY community. Sue lived a life guided by an unwavering faith, deep devotion to family and a heartfelt love for her country. She loved her church and her Sunday School classes. Her legacy is a reflection to those enduring values.
Sue enjoyed playing bingo and later in life found great joy in becoming an avid colorist. With care and creativity, she would meticulously color intricate patterns and designs to create works of art. In much the same way, Sue brought color, joy and her unique touch to every gathering.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Mel Wagner and her second husband, Ben Campbell. She is also preceded by her best friend and only child, Peggy Hall Moseley. She is survived by her son-in-law, Michael Moseley; grandsons, Kyle Goddard (Charity) and Chris Goddard (Angela); and three great-grandchildren, Cash, Alex and Anna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday April 17, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 AM.
