Carolyn Sue Calvert Rippy, 79, of Adolphus, KY passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN. The Indianapolis, IN native was a homemaker, former employee of G. E. and A. O. Smith, Sassy Lassy and Alene’s and a member of Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Russell J. Calvert and Annice Marie Hunt Calvert.
She is survived by her husband: Jarvis Rippy, Adolphus, KY;
1 son: Jeff Rippy and wife, Carol, Adolphus, KY;
2 daughters: Angel Bonds and husband, Tim, Scottsville, KY and Carolyn “Ree” Fusting and husband, David, Bowling Green, KY;
1 sister: Sandra Martin and husband, Ronnie, Westmoreland, TN;
9 grandchildren: Josh Roper (Megan), Phillip Roper (Laura), Brittany Sweeden (Tyler), Brett Rippy (Cally Sue), Amanda Hurt (Nick), Katie Gentry (Justin), Rachael Fusting, Alex Fusting (Laura) and Ashley Fusting;
10 great grandchildren: Riley, Reese, Rhett, Bradyen, Lincoln, Jireh Jewell, Brazleigh, Ellazyn, Maizlan and Rigzdon.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Charles Calvert and Doris Ray Calvert.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 5, 2023 at Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Rodney Carter, Bro. Rodney Delk, Jr. and Bro. Nick Hurt officiating and burial in the Old Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
