6-5-2003- Park City Veterans Memorial construction is underway.

Caverna Valedictorian is Grant Bale and Salutatorian is Jared Sweitzer.

GHS Valedictorian is James Ford “Jimmy” Davenport. Salutatorian is Saurin Akshay Chokski.

Local Homeowners Month is proclaimed by Mayor Darrell Picket and County Judge Executive Davie Greer.

The Best Dressed Scottish competition was won by Kennedy Gibbs.

Diann Roberts is WalMart 2003 Teacher of the Year.

6-12-2003 – 27 area high schools seniors were inducted into the 37th Annual US Bank Hall of Fame.

Dinosaur World opens in Cave City.

Dr. John C Meyer joins the staff at Wagner Eye Center.

Glasgow City Council approves city participation in Adopt-A-Highway on section of US 31 E By Pass.

Barn Lot Theater will present the musical “Grease” July 11-13, 18-20 and 25-27.

6-19-2003 – The toll booth on the Louie B Nunn Parkway is being removed. It closed at midnight on May 31st.

Ambulance Board hears request to locate vehicles and crew in Cave City.

On April 14, firefighters successfully set and burned 408 acres at Onyx Meadows in Mammoth Cave National Park.

Old Victorian Bed and Breakfast, 408 N. Race Street, holds ribbon cutting. It was formally known as the Coombs House or Hicks House.

Weldon Open Tennis Tournament will be held June 27-29. A new singles division for men over 30 is added this year honoring Jim Moody, who tragically died on his 40th birthday in 2002.
