Susie Jean Young, 77, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, September 22nd, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Susie was born in Tompkinsville, KY on January 2, 1946, a daughter of the late Zelma (Geralds ) and Eugene Hale.
Susie is survived by a son, Terry Lee Hale, and wife, Sharon, of Tompkinsville, KY; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Susie is also survived by a sister, Joyce Simmons, of Tompkinsville, KY.
Susie loved people and was always taking care of others. She raised her granddaughter, Brittany Young, and two great grandchildren, Kendra and Autumn Hale. Susie moved her mother in and took care of her for 10 years. Susie was a good person.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Ricky Blankenship and a daughter, Janet Young, brothers, Jerry Wayne Hale and Jack Hale.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Neal Cemetery.
Visitation is after 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
