Charles Thomas “Charlie” Long age 82 of Upton passed away Sunday, November 12th at the Medical Center at Caverna ER. He was the son of the late Will and Gertrude Hornback Long.
Charlie retired from Dow Corning after 31 years. He served our country as a veteran in the U.S. Army. Charlie was a member of the Bonnieville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Melvin Albery, Ray Long & Randy Long and one sister Bertha Womack.
He is survived by his wife Charlene Staples Long; two sons Allen Long & his wife Jennifer and Lindsey Long & his wife Jewell; grandchildren Brandon Long, Chesney Long, Max Burnham, Jake Burnham and Quincey Burnham.
The funeral service for Charles “Charlie” Long will be 1:30pm CST Wednesday, Nov. 15th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8pm CST and after 8am Wednesday at the Sego Funeral Home. The family request that memorial donations to be given for Gideon Bibles.
