Hardin County Sheriff’s Department responded to a motor vehicle collision Tuesday, February 27 in Upton.
After a preliminary investigation, deputies on the scene determined a 2008 Ford Focus operated by Destiny McClawley age 23 of Upton was travelling westbound on North Pleasant Hill Road when the vehicle crossed left of center and struck a 2023 Kia Soul operated by Taylor Riggs of Upton, who was travelling eastbound.
McClawley was pronounced dead at the scene and two juveniles in her vehicle were transported to Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown for non-life threatening injuries.
Riggs also was transported to Baptist Health Hardin for non-life threatening injuries.
