On 06/19/2024 at approximately 10:54 pm CT, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 was contacted by the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a single-vehicle fatal collision.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Shawn G. Colman, 61, of Louisville, IL was operating a 2025 Kenworth tractor-trailer traveling eastbound on US-60. The CMV exited the right shoulder of the roadway striking a power pole and overturning.
Shawn G. Colman was pronounced deceased on scene by the Crittenden County Coroner.
KSP was assisted on scene by the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, Crittenden County Fire and Rescue, Crittenden County EMS, Marion Police Department, and Crittenden County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing by Accident Re- Constructionist Aaron Jestes.
