Kentucky State Reformatory Inmate Convicted of Manslaughter in 2020 Case

Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg received a report of an unresponsive male inmate at Kentucky State Reformatory(KSR) on Sunday November 22, 2020.  The inmate was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

An investigation conducted by KSP Post 5 determined that the inmate, DeCarlo Conn, was involved in a physical altercation with another inmate, Glenn Odom.  The investigation resulted in Glenn Odom being indicted for one count of Murder, one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence and one count of Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree.

A jury trial was held in Oldham County Circuit Court on Monday October 7 and concluded on Friday October 11, 2024.  Glenn Odom was found guilty of Manslaughter 2nd Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree.  Formal sentencing is scheduled for November 26, 2024.
