The expected traffic impacts in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 area through November 1 are listed below. All work is subject to change.
Barren County
- U.S. 68 (mile point 0.0 to 10.0) – Crews will continue drainage work in the area.
Simpson County
- KY 621 (mile point 5.7 to 8.4) – Crews are expected to began paving this section. Motorists should expect lane closures and delays. Motorists should use caution.
Warren County
- Commonwealth Boulevard – A repair project for the bridge on KY 3145 over Commonwealth Boulevard in the Kentucky Trans-Park in Warren County continues. Commonwealth Boulevard is closed near KY 3145 and is scheduled to reopen on Nov. 15. The schedule is subject to change. A signed detour using Prosperity Road, Production Avenue, Fred Madison Road, Jody Richards Drive and U.S. 68 is in place.
- KY 2326 (mile point 0.0 to 0.9) – Paving from U.S. 31-W to the Edmonson County line is complete. Crews will be working on shoulders. Motorists should expect lane closures from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- KY 1297 (mile point 5.3 to 6.3) – Crews are expected to begin resurfacing from Gott Hydro Road to KY 101. Motorists should expect lane closures and delays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- KY 526 (mile point 0.0 to 1.1) – Resurfacing is complete in this section. Crews will be working on shoulders from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please use caution.
- KY 185 – Two improvement projects on KY 185 have started. The bulk of the work is being done away from the current roadway with little traffic impact.
The realignment section of KY 185 will create a new road to the east of the current KY 185 starting near Runner Road and tying back into the current KY 185 just south of KY 1320 (Penns Chapel Road).
The realignment project is 1.86 miles in length. The realignment features wider travel lanes and shoulders. The southbound direction features a passing lane as well.
The HSIP section of the project is from KY 1320 to near Jack Simmons Road, 1.26 miles in length. Drainage improvements and ditching will be a part of this project. A one-foot paved shoulder will be added to both sides of the road as well as new signage.
