On Friday, November 15, 2024, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 3 responded to a single vehicle collision in the area of 1400 Cedar Bluff Road in Simpson County.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a 1998 Freightliner semi truck, operated by Clarence Hoover (32) of Scottsville KY, was traveling on Cedar Bluff Road, when the vehicle dropped off the left side of the roadway and rolled onto it’s driver’s side.
Mr. Hoover was partially ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced deceased by the Simpson County Coroner’s Office.
KSP was assisted on scene by the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, Simpson County Fire, and the Simpson County Coroner’s Office. This investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Kentucky State Police.
