James Steven Massey

James Steven Massey, 74, of Wingfield passed away Nov. 21, 2024 at his daughter’s residence.

The Edmonson County native was a truck driver and a man of faith who professed finding salvation in a tobacco barn. He was a son of the late Porter J. Massey and Willodean Potter Massey and the husband of the late Kathy Jo Lankford Massey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Ray Massey.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove (Miller Hill) Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday.

Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly Lynn Hanson (Aaron) of Brownsville; three sons, Steven Patrick Massey and James Tyler Massey both of Wingfield and Timothy Eugene Massey (Abigail) of Brownsville; two brothers, Ronnie Lee Massey (Melita) and William Dale Massey (Melissa) both of Wingfield; a sister-in-law, Kathy Massey of Wingfield; three grandchildren, Andrea Nicole Potter (Michael Goodman), Amberly Lynn Potter (Wayne Green Jr.) and Hunter Ray Massey; six great grandchildren, Averie Goodman, Gracelynn Nicole Green, Xander Kane Johnson, Adelynn Shea Goodman, Madison Lee Green and Ella Mae Green; and several nieces and nephews.
