Mary Ellen Blakey, age 93, of Canmer, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Lucian Atwell, and Ellen Edwards Atwell. Mary was a lifelong member of the Canmer Baptist Church and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved gardening and working in flowers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Blakey; four brothers, James Atwell, Jr., Bill Atwell, Cecil Atwell, and Bobby Joe Atwell.
She is survived by five children, Mary Ann Pedigo (Don), George Blakey, Barbara Kimberling (Nat), Billy Joe Blakey, and William Donald Blakey (Angel); nine grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00PM CST, on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer. Arrangements are under the direction of Winn Funeral Home.
