Nancy Coppage Poynter

Nancy Coppage Poynter, 83, Glasgow, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024.  Born in Macon, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Sullivan Coppage.  She was the widow of the late Rondel E. Poynter.

Nancy is remembered from her days of being employed at Glasgow Inn, Kiddie Korner, and later at K-Mart where she always had a welcoming smile.  During her private time she enjoyed the Louisville Cardinals, cooking, reading, doing cross-stitch, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include four children: Julie Tigner (Chuck) of Greenville, Georgia, Choppy Poynter (Joni) of Glasgow, Chris Poynter of Cave City, and John Poynter (Kim) of Glasgow; ten grandchildren: Brian Vance Tigner (Christina), Michael Vance Tigner (Jenna), Bryce Poynter (Ashton), Jessa Poynter, Joseph Poynter, Jaina Poynter, John Taylor Poynter (Brittany), William Poynter, Dillon Pitcock (Kensi), and Jarret Pitcock (Joni); eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
