Travis Wade Brown

Travis Wade Brown, 77, of Edmonton, KY passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Green County, KY, on July 14, 1947, to the late Ted and Christine Young Brown.

Mr. Brown enjoyed working on vehicles, tinkering, and watching westerns. He was a backhoe operator, plumber, and electrician, working for L&S Supply and self-employed. He attended The House of Prayer Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Teddy Joe Brown; one grandson, Kendall McDonald; son-in-law, Ronnie Harper; and brothers-in-law, Ed Poynter and Buddy Knipp.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Sue Brown; daughters, Tammy Harper of Edmonton KY, and Debbie Cash (Steve Murphy) of Bardstown KY; sons, Tim Brown (Cassandra) of Edmonton KY, and David Brown (B.J.) of Columbia KY; grandchildren, Kimberly Ellis, Dylan Cash, Madison Crawley (Kailib), Brooklyn Brown (Stone Passmore), Destiny Murphy (Trevor), Taylor Brown (Alyssa), and Travis Harper; great grandchildren, Natalee Thomas, Caroline Ellis, Brayden Ellis, Weston Crawley, Evie Crawley, Paisley Murphy, Brody Murphy, and Josie Brown; brothers, Bill Brown (Rita) of Edmonton KY, Jay Brown (Rochelle) of Edmonton KY, and Tom Brown (Talanna) of IN; and sisters, Pat Poynter of Edmonton KY, Barbara Knipp of Edmonton KY, Bonnie Jessie (Bobby) of Edmonton KY, and Gayle Scott (Robert) of Edmonton KY.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 27, 2024, at the House of Prayer Church with burial in the House of Prayer Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00pm-8:00pm at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home and will continue after 9:00am on Friday at the House of Prayer Church.
