William Riley Philpott, 40, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday December 24, 2024 at the Tristar Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a AI tech for Select Sires and a member of the Edmonton Masonic Lodge 931 F&AM, Hiseville 320 F&AM, H. B. Grant 610 F&AM, Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He is a son of David Thomas Philpott and Sheena Adwell Stockton (James Stockton).
Besides his parents he is survived by his wife: Velvet Gwen Bragg Philpott; one son: William Riley Philpott, Jr.; two brothers: Thomas Philpott (Jeannie) and Ralph French; one sister Mona Lisa Philpott (William Settles); several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Theodore and Gail Frances Adwell; paternal grandparents: Ernest Philpott and Olia Philpott Compton; father and mother-in-law: Bill and Martha Bragg.
Funeral will be 1:00 pm Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday until time for services. Edmonton Masonic Lodge 931 will have a Masonic service at 5:00 pm Friday.
