Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Glasgow

Two Hart County residents were arrested in Glasgow on Sunday after a traffic stop on N. L. Rogers Wells Blvd.

A vehicle driven by Jessie Jackson was stopped on the boulevard by Glasgow Police Department officer Micah Janes, according to a press release from the police department. Janes confirmed the passenger in the vehicle, Samantha Jackson, had an active warrant. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found in the vehicle after a search.

Both Jacksons were arrested. Jessie Jackson was charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, disregarding a traffic control device, no registration plates, no registration receipt, and failure to have his license in his possession.

Samantha Jackson was charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were both lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. Samantha Jackson had a $2,500 bond and initial court appearance of Monday, March 17. Jessie Jackson had a $2,500 bond and initial court appearance of Monday, March 17.
