Dustin Jay Parks

Dustin Jay Parks, age 41, of Leitchfield, passed away Wednesday, (March 19, 2025).

He was born on March 21, 1983 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Theresa Gregory Heady Parks and the late Joey Parks.

He was the owner and operator of Parks Masonry. Many described him as a hard worker who was always willing to lend a hand.

Dustin was loved by many, he was a beloved son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Most importantly he was a loving husband and wonderful father. He married the love of his life, Jessica, on September 10, 2011. Together they raised a beautiful family. He enjoyed fishing with his son Aydan, hunting with his son, Hunter, collecting football cards with his son, Cole, and playing with his daughter, Prudence. He also has a passion for hunting arrowheads.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Parks of Falls of Rough; sons, Aydan, Hunter and Kamdyn Parks; daughter, Prudence Parks; step-daughter, Shayleigh Butler; his mother, Theresa Gregory Heady Parks, of Leitchfield; brothers, Bryan Bates of Horse Branch, Travis Parks (Emily) of Leitchfield, and Darrell Blankenship (Kamie) of Dyer; and his sister, Tasha Aubrey (Ronnie) of Hudson. He is also survived by his fur babies, Pheobe, Daisy and Jade. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joey Parks.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (March 26, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mike Cannon and Bro. Matt Milam will be officiating. Burial will be in the Parks Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
