Abigail “Abby” Marie Beeler

Apr 11, 2025 | 5:03 PM

Abigail “Abby” Marie Beeler, age 33, of Caneyville, KY gained her angel wings on Thursday, (April 10, 2025) at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on August 20, 1991 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Warren and DeeDee Beeler.

Abby loved to sit in her wheelchair and play with her toys, listen to music or watch TV. When her siblings were in school, she loved to go to ballgames and cheer them on and listen to the pep band. She attended Grayson County Schools where she was loved and cared for by many, especially her very first aide, Victoria. Abby was even able to finish her high school career in her mother’s classroom.

She loved road trips with her mom, sisters and nieces. She was always ready and willing to go! She loved going to hog shows and sheep shows and loved all the attention she always got from the wonderful livestock people her parents were friends with. She even got the chance to finally show her own sheep when she participated in the first ever Sunshine Class at the state fair, with the help of her new friend Linda. It was obvious from the smile on her face that she thought she had made it big time. Abby had a wonderful life and lived much longer than was ever expected. Her family would like to think it is because of all the love she got from those around her. She blessed everyone with so much happiness and sunshine. She taught all how to appreciate the small things in life and made us better people. She will be missed so much but we know she is now free of her wheelchair, running and playing with her big sister, Emily, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms. We are comforted knowing they are together.

She is survived by her mom and dad, Dee Dee and Warren Beeler of Caneyville, KY; sisters, Megan Beeler of Caneyville, KY and Molly Critchelow (Luke) of Axtel, KY; brother, Ben Beeler (Natalia) of Apex, North Carolina; and her maternal grandfather, Mike Boone of Falls of Rough, KY. She is also survived by numerous Aunts and Uncles on both sides and many wonderful cousins. Two very special people in her life were her nieces, Andi and Katelyn Critchelow, who loved her dearly and took such good care of her.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Emily Kyle Beeler, paternal grandparents, Wendell and Mary Lou Beeler and her maternal grandmother, Patricia Boone.

Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, (April 14, 2025) at St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church (1654 KY-79 Hardinsburg.)  Fr. Shaiju Thomas will be officiating with burial to follow in the Layman Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony the Abbot Catholic Church prior to the mass beginning at 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
