Leroy Childress, age 69, of Mammoth Cave, KY departed this life on Monday, July 13, 2020 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born on April 26, 1951 in Barren County to the late Leslie and Mary Jane Logsdon. He was married to Leavia Logsdon Childress, who survives.
Leroy was a ferry operator for Mammoth Cave National Park; residential supervisor for Great Onyx Job Corps and a farmer.
Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory– one daughter, Jennifer LeAnn Childress Powell (Paul) of Mammoth Cave; two grandchildren, Logan Powell and Lennox Powell; two half sisters, Debbie Alvey and Sandy Whitaker and one step brother, Joe Gipson. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Lama Logsdon.
Interment will be in Stockholm Cemetery.
