Mitchell Douglas “Doug” York, 75, of Nashville,TN, passed away Wednesday,
July 22nd, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.
Doug was born in Macon County, TN on October 26, 1944, a son of the late
Lillian (West) and James Mitchell York.
Doug is survived by his wife, Colleen Dixon York, of Nashville, TN; a
daughter, Angela York, of Nashville, TN; a son, Carl York, and wife,
Tabitha, of Ashland City, TN; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Doug is also survived by four sisters, Pat York Crossland, of Lynn Haven,
FL; Ella Jean Page, of Tompkinsville, KY; Teresa White, and husband
Steve, of Loundon, TN; Tina Manning, and husband, Mike, of Bowling
Green,KY; three half sisters, Linda Crowe, and husband, Cancil, Shelia
Coe, and husband, Tony, Carol Sue Rhoton, and husband, Newman, and a half
brother, James Mitchell “Roho” York, all of Tompkinsville, KY.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one great grandchild, and sisters,
Elaine & Vickie Lynn York.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 1:00 P.M. at
Pitcock Cemetery, with burial to follow.
Visitation is Saturday from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
