GLASGOW, Ky. — Local Celtic performer Colin Grant-Adams is slated to perform Dec. 12 during a Celtic Christmas show.
Grant – Adams is a Celtic singer and songwriter. He moved to Glasgow in 1992 from Oban, Scotland, which is on the country’s west coast.
“I travel all over the United States playing Scottish festivals and concerts,” Grant-Adams said. “I have about 10 CDs out now.”
Grant-Adams said the pandemic put a pause on a lot of his travel, but virtual events enabled the continuation of his work.
“Still going strong,” Grant-Adams said. “Last year picked up a bit with the festivals starting to get back up online again.”
Sunday’s show will include Bluegrass, gospel and Christmas songs aside from the Celtic influence. It is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Yancey Square Indoor Stage.
“I think it’s going to be just a nice Christmas evening of people getting together,” Grant-Adams said.
Pastor Tom Linick of the Glasgow Wesleyan Church is responsible for ticket sales, according to a flyer provided by Grant-Adams. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased several ways.
Linick can be contacted by email at CoffeeQuest444@gmail.com or (270) 790-1341. Tickets will also be available at the door.
The physical address is 200 S. Race St. in Glasgow. The stage is inside the former Glasgow Parks and Recreation Department.
