BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — A 20-year-old man is dead following a Tuesday shooting in Warren County.

Bowling Green Police responded to a call regarding shots fired in the parking lot of a gas station along Nashville Road and Emmett Avenue. Responding officers were told a collision had occurred in the intersection as a vehicle was fleeing the scene.

Terrance R. Barton, 20, was discovered in the driver’s seat of a white car. Police attempted life saving measures, but Barton was taken to an area hospital and died. He had multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Officers were told a man ran from the scene of the shooting. After an area canvass, 19-year-old Kamonte E. Grissom was discovered. He matched the description of the suspect a witness provided.

Grissom was taken to Bowling Green Police Department and interviewed. He was arrested for murder.

Grissom is lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail. He is charged with murder, first degree robbery and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

The investigation continues.
