Cave City Police to conduct checkpoints

In an effort to enforce laws relating to driving under the influence, licensing a vehicle, registering and having insurance on a vehicle and wearing a seatbelt, the Cave City Police Department says it will conduct traffic checkpoints for the rest of August.

According to news release, the checkpoints will be set up between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m. starting Aug. 16 and extending through Sept. 2. Police say the checkpoints will be “clearly marked.”

The checkpoints will be in several areas including the 400 block of Mammoth Cave Road; 800 block of Mammoth Cave Road; Old Lexington Road and Cemetery Road; Grinstead Mill Road and Blair Road; Old Horse Cave Road and the county line; Happy Valley Road and Estes Road; 400 block of North Dixie Highway; and  Louisville Road and Happy Valley Road; Old Horse Cave
