GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is behind bars in Barren County after he entered a local store with blood on his body Tuesday.
The Glasgow Police Department said Clayton Wilson, 19, had a laceration on his hand when they responded to Five Star on Happy Valley Road. Wilson stated his girlfriend had stabbed him, police say.
After further investigation, police discovered Wilson had been involved in a domestic dispute at Stonehenge Apartments. He assaulted a woman before punching a mirror and causing a deep cut on his hand.
Wilson purportedly threw the victim to the ground and began punching and choking her.
Wilson was transported to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment of the laceration and he became combative with officers and hospital security, a news release said. The woman was also treated for her injuries.
Wilson was arrested and charged with first degree strangulation, third degree terrorist threatening, third degree assault (peace officer, non-communicable bodily fluid), fourth degree assault (domestic violence), trafficking in marijuana (less than eight ounces), possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful imprisonment.
Police say Wilson had a bag containing marijuana, baggies and digital scales.
