Both drivers in a two vehicle collision were sent to the hospital.
Around 7am Tuesday morning, 22 year old Taylor C. Boiling, of Quitman, AR, was traveling on I-65 in Hart County when he rear-ended a 2012 Nissan Juke, driven by 60 year old Nita Miller, of Elizabethtown, causing both drivers to lose control of their vehicles.
Miller’s vehicle crossed multiple lanes of travel, first striking a concrete barrier wall off the left shoulder, then re-entering the roadway, and finally exiting the right southbound shoulder coming to final rest against an earth embankment. Upon initial impact, Boiling’s vehicle exited the right shoulder striking an earth embankment causing the vehicle to overturn multiple revolutions before coming to final rest against a tree.
Boiling was transported from the scene by KY 8 medical helicopter and flown to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Nita Miller was transported by Hart County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital for treatment of possible injuries sustained in the collision.
The investigation is being conducted by Master Trooper Ronnie Reynolds. He was assisted on the scene by Post 3 Troopers, Hart County EMS, Bonnieville Fire Department, and KY 8. No further information is available for release at this time.
