FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has recommended that schools remain closed until late April to help contain the new coronavirus. The governor said Friday that he asked superintendents to extend school closures until at least April 20. Beshear had previously asked districts to close for at least two weeks as the state ramped up efforts to prevent the spread of the virus.
Beshear says more than 60 virus cases have been confirmed in Kentucky, up from 47 a day earlier. Two deaths in Kentucky have been linked to the virus
